亚里士多德开创了西方文化重视分析、重视逻辑 ,同时又重视经验的科学传统。陈康先生于 2 0世纪 40年代将西方对希腊哲学 ,尤其是亚里士多德哲学研究的成果和方法介绍到国内 ,并以严格的方法研究亚里士多德的哲学 ,取得了重要的成果 ,是公认的亚里士多德研究的专家 ,他所倡导的是一种严格的实事求是的研究方法。苗力田先生师承陈康先生 ,致力于古希腊哲学的研究及亚里士多德哲学的研究 ,他所主编和翻译的《亚里士多德全集》的出版 ,为我国的亚里士多德研究做出了重大贡献。西方哲学的翻译工作也是一种再创造活动 ,其和学术研究一样 ,也存在着方法论的问题 。

Aristotle, the most distinguished western philosopher, established the scientific tradition of putting importance on analysis, logic as well as experience in western culture. In 1940s, Mr. Chen Kang, who introduced the achievements and methods of western study on Greek philosophy, especially on Aristotle, made research on Aristotles philosophy in a migorous method and obtained many important achievements, is generally acknowledged as the expert on Aristotle. The approach of study he advocated emphasizes on seeking truth from facts strictly. Mr. Miao Litian, following Chens suit, devoted himself to the research on Greek philosophy especially on Aristotle. The publication of the Chinese version of The Collected Works of Aristotle, of which he is the editor-in-chief and one of the translators, made a great contribution to the study of Aristotle in China. The translation of western philosophical works is a kind of recreation, and as academy research, the methods of it are also very important. Therefore, the methods of translation and study are closed connected and the academic world should pay great attention to the research and discussion of these methods.
