理性主义自由观已由思想家个人的见解转变为特定的社会政策和制度的支持性理论 ,然而它的理论缺陷和对社会政治生活的误导作用却很少引起人们的关注和怀疑。事实上 ,理性主义自由观存在重大危害 :它既违背了自由的本义 ,也取消了理性自身发展和社会进步的惟一环境。理性是有限的 ,正是理性的有限性为自由提供了存在的理由 ,因此 ,自由高于理性。

Rationalist view of liberty only belonged to thinkers themselves has become a theory that supports some specific social policies and institutions. However, its defects in theory and its misleading influence on social political life are hardly paid attention to and suspected. In effect, there is serious harm in rationalist view of liberty: It is not in conformity with the meaning of liberty ,and it also deprives of the sole surroundings for the advance in reason and the progress in society. Reason is limited, and its limitation is just that why liberty is necessary. Therefore, liberty is prior to reason.
