确立21世纪高等教育的可持续发展理念

Fostering the idea of sustainable development of higher education in the 21st century

面对２１世纪社会发展的要求，高等教育必须树立可持续发展的教育理念，即强调高等教育的发展性，发展的持续性、整体性、平等性和协调性，强调发展是一个“综合”的概念。努力做到高等教育发展在数量增长，质量提高，优化结构和增进效益等方面的相互协调，最终体现高等教育对社会发展的推动和促进作用。本文对国内外高等教育的发展进行比较研究，针对近年高校“扩招”现象，对我国目前高等教育超常发展的合理性和可行性进行研究，并提倡营造可持续发展理念的大学氛围。

In order to meet the needs of the social development in the 21st century , the idea of sustainable development of higher education must be fostered , that is , the following ideas should be emphasized : the developability sustainable developability , entirety , equality and coodination of higher education , in short, it should be emphasized that the idea of development refers to a synthetical one. Therefore. we should strive for the good coodination in the growth of number , the improvement in quality ,the optimization in inner structure and the increase in economic benefit of higher education so as to embody the role played by higher education in the promotion of social development at last. This article makes a comparative study of the development of higher education at home & abroad, focusing on the justification & feasibility of the supernormal development of higher education at present in China in the light of the extensive recruitment in tertiary institutions in recent years, and advocates forming an atmosphere at university favourable for sustainable development of higher education.
