音响节奏的有效运用是表现主义戏剧的艺术特色之一。在《琼斯皇》这部剧作中 ,奥尼尔通过对音响节奏 ,即贯穿全剧的鼓声 (thetom -tombeating)的充分运用 ,达到了意想不到的艺术效果。本文试图通过对该鼓声在剧情展开。
This paper presents a detailed analysis of the functions of the drum beating in The Emperor Jones, pointing out that the acoustic rhythm plays an important part in the development of the plots, the communication of the theme and the adjustment of the audience's attention, which is one of the characteristics of the expressionistic dramas.
