本文首先讨论语义的性质和来源 ,提出语义“功能说”,即词语的意义就是词语在言语交际中的功能或作用 ,指出语义本身属于客观存在的语言世界 ,但其源于客观物质世界和人们的主观精神世界。进而讨论语义的模糊性与客观世界、主观世界和语言世界的关系。指出语义的模糊性与客观世界或主观世界的联系都是间接的 ,与语言世界的联系则是直接的。语言形式和意义的矛盾、语义形成的社会性以及言语交际的需要 ,都是语义模糊性的直接原因。

This thesis discusses the nature and source of semantic and then puts forward “function theory”, namely the significance of vocabulary is its function and role in communicative speech. It also points out that semantic belongs to the objective language world, and also come from the objective world and people's subjective world. Based on the discussion this thesis expounds respectively the fuzzy of semantic and its relation with the objective world, the subjective world and the language world.
