There have long been two traditional views on the tragic destiny of the heroine in《Mourning the Death》, namely,the economic factor and the emotional factor.In this article,the writer analyses the two views andraises questions. The key reason presents itself after expounding the root of the tragedy.It should be Zijun's failure to cast off the yoke of feudalism.
