The investigation of distribution characteristics of mineral in a different size range of coal powder indicates that the mineral content increases with the increase of the particle size of coal powder,but the content of mono mineral particles in coal powder is in contrast to it.The variation of mineral distribution in a different size range of coal powder can be described by m i=k(d i) D-D 1 ,where D is the fractal dimension of the particle size distribution of coal powder,and D 1 is the fractal dimension of the particle size distribution of mineral in coal powder.The equation shows that based on the distribution of coal powder and the mineral particle in it the mineral content in a different size range can be predicted.
