Modern Landscape Urban Space——Urban design of the circular water system in Guilin

桂林有着与自然山水紧密结合的独特城市空间。当前 ,对历史上的环城水系的恢复涉及到对城市空间结构的重新调整 ,本文通过对桂林城市空间的历史变迁的回溯 ,结合现代城市设计的生态观 ,探讨现代山水环境城市空间的建构 。

Traditional Guilin had an identical urban space integrating the town with the picturesque scenery. Today the re join of the historic circular water system gives an opportunity to recognize the urban space of the central area. This article discusses a design framework concerning the coordination of artificial urban space and natural geography.
