现代汉语的“-头”

The “-头” in Modern Chinese

文章首先考察“头”由实词演变为后缀和词尾的过程 ,接着以《倒序现代汉语词典》为依据 ,统计分析现代汉语中“ -头”词读轻声和儿化的情况 ,发现普通话“头”的虚化程度仍处于相当低的阶段。同时指出 ,“头”的语音形式的虚化是一个渐进的过程 ,最需要虚化的那些场合最先虚化或者最容易虚化 ;在“头”的虚化过程中 ,儿化也被用来作为一种虚化的方式 ,“头儿”是一种复合式的语法标记。

This paper firstly studies the change of word 头 from a notional word to a suffix. Then it analyses statistically the uses of light tone and r coloured tone of word -头 in modern Chinese based on the Modern Chinese Dictionary in Inverted Order . It is found that grammaticalization degree of word -头 in standard Chinese pronunciation remains rather low. Meanwhile it points out that the grammaticalization of word -头 developed gradually; in situations which are in greatest need of it, The word will get grammaticalized earliest and most easily. During the course of grammaticalization of word -头, the r coloured tone is also taken as a mode of grammaticalization. The word -头 is a compound grammatical mark.
