This paper describes the background,feasibility,problems and resolution related to the revamp of an ammonia synthesis plant into a hydrogen production plant in the Second Chemical Fertilizer Plant of Qilu Petrochemical Corp.,and explores the approaches to optimize the operation and reduce energy consumption.
