截止到 1 999年底世界乙烯生产能力达到 92 70 4万t/a,1 999年世界乙烯需求量接近 850 0万t。未来几年在世界经济强劲增长的驱动下 ,预计世界乙烯需求量将以年均 5 2 %的速度增长 ,到 2 0 0 4年将达到 1 0 941 2万t;同时世界乙烯生产能力将以年均 4 7%的速度增长 ,到 2 0 0 4年将达到 1 1 652 5万t/a。近几年我国乙烯工业发展很快 ,目前已有生产装置 1 8套 ,总生产能力达 440 3万t/a ,1 999年消费量达到 90 0多万t,预计到 2 0 1 0年将达到 1 50 0万t。

The global production capacity of ethylene reached 92.704 million tons per year by the end of 1999, and the demand of ethylene was 85 million tons in 1999. Drived by the strong global economic growth in the near term, forecast of demand annual growth rate of ethylene will be 5.2%, and the demand of ethylene will increase to 109.412 million tons by 2004. The global production capacity of ethylene is forecasted to increase to 116.525 million tons by 2004 with a annual growth rate of 4.7%. Ethylene industry rapidly grows in China in the recent years. Now there are 18 sets of production installations, and their total production capacity is 4.403 million tons yearly. The consumption of ethylene was over 9 million tons in 1999, and it is expected that it will rise to 15 million tons by 2010.
