摘要
JPEG2000是国际标准组织ISO/ITU -T为适应21世纪图像压缩应用而制定的新的静止图像压缩标准。目前 ,该标准的第一部分(PART1)已基本完成。本文介绍了这一即将完成的新标准的特点及应用场合 ,阐述了JPEG2000图像编码系统的实现过程 ,对其中采用的基本算法和关键技术进行了描述。
JPEG2000 is a new standard established by ISO/ITU-T for the 21st century's still image compressing applications. So far, PART 1 of it has been finished. In this paper, features and applications of the new standard are described. The realization of JPEG2000 image coding system is explained. In the end, the algorithms and techniques used in JPEG2000 are emphasized.
