Ideology and Conception of Design

设计作为人的创造本能 ,其价值与目的性休戚相关。设计的巨大能量源自崇高的目的。目的性直接决定设计的发展方向 ,从而影响人类自身的命运。设计的目的性与社会意识形态有着最直接的联系。各个历史阶段的造物活动均打上了意识形态的烙印 ,而从现代主义设计运动与包豪斯精神中能更清楚地看到意识形态与设计观念变革之间的关系。要真正改变设计的落后状况 ,推进设计文化研究 ,就必须涉及社会意识问题 ,尽管这一概念十分宽泛与复杂。理想主义成分和信念的缺失于设计的长远发展不利 ,面对全球一体化的文化、经济战略格局 ,决策者、教育家必须对设计进行宏观定位 ,以时代主题作为意识形态基调 ,引导新一代设计师的智慧与创造力 。

Design is a kind of creation of human beings. The purpose of design is relevant to its value. The purpose defines the direction of the development of design and influences the future of mankind. The purpose of design has a close relation with social ideology from which the creative action derives. We can see the relation between social ideology and the idea of design more clearly through the spirit of Bauhaus and the motion of modernism of design. To develop modern design, we must analyse the influence of social ideology despite the complexity and difficulty. The lack of idealism will hamper the long-term development of design. Our educationists and policy makers should locate modern design correctly according to the competitive status of globalization of culture and economy. We must take the spirit of our era as the base of ideology and direct the inspiration and the creation of our young designers to the lofty motive of undertaking the social liability and historic task.
