摘要
在以阅读为主的国内英语教学中,长期以来一直重视非常细节的句子语法分析.忽视了长句子的简化。如果阅读时能先撇开长句中的各种修饰语、插入语不管,把其中的从句看成一个个整体,那么复杂的长句就会变成简单的短句。
In the reading-dominated English teaching of China, great attention has been paid to the grammatical analysis of sentences with the simplification of long sentences having been neglected. If various modifiers, parenthe- ses in the long sentence are temporarily ignored and clauses within the long sentence are taken as a whole, the com-plicated long sentence will appear as a short sentence, much easier to understand.
