环境道德是调整人与环境的关系、规范人对自然的行为的道德。中国传统伦理思想中萌生和蕴含了丰富而深刻的环境道德思想 :“天人合一”是中国传统环境道德的根本观点和理论基础 ;“利用厚生 ,质朴勤俭”是中国传统环境道德的基本原则 ;“爱物惜物 ,取以时度”是中国传统环境道德的基本规范 ;“真善美统一 ,天人合一”是中国传统环境道德教育和修养追求的最高境界。

Environmental morals is the means to regulate the relationship of man and nature, and to standardize man's activities towards nature. The profuse and profound environmental morals has flowered and flourished in Chinese traditional ethics doctrines.“The unity of man and nature” is principal standpoint and the foundation of the doctrines in Chinese traditional environmental morals;“utilizing nature while protecting and economizing natural resources”is the cardinal principle;“cherishing the things granted by nature and obtaining them in proper time and proper proportion” is the basic norm;“the unity of scientificity,ethic and aesthetic and of man and nature” is regarded as the summit of man's education and cultivation of environmenta1 mora1s in Chinese traditiona1 ethics doctrines.
