The 21th century is the age of intellectual economy. Knowledge is one of the important factors in the development of economy and society. And its production, transmission and application all depend on education which has become the decisive factor for the development of economy and society. As the basic way of education, teaching has naturally become the focus of educational research. Zankov of the former Soviet Union is the outstanding representative of the experts in the contemporary educational theory. In the new century, the new understanding of his “developing” as the nucleus in teaching is valuable in understanding the significance of education and its entire educational theory in the age of intellectual economy.
