On the Value of Yuan Ye

明代吴江造园专家计成在仪征建寤园 ,并在扈冶堂写下世界最早的一部造园专著《园冶》。此书全面总结造园经验 ,主张师法自然 ,并通过造园者的审美取向予以创新 ,创造出为广大游客乐于游赏的人化自然。

Garden expert Ji Cheng built Wu Yuan in the Ming Dynasty and wrote the earliest work of gardening, Yuan Ye, in Huye Hall,which summarized the experiences in building gardens.It's a pity that for various reasons,its value has not been recognized.This article intends to analyse and study the value of Yuan Ye in various aspects such as theory,practice,thought,and art of garden building.
