Recent researches of metalloporphyrin as an efficient catalyst for alkane oxidative conversion are reviewed with the emphasis on iron porphyrin with halogen substituents, which are more robust than the others. The catalytic mechanisms and molecular structure of metalloporphyrin are also mentioned.
