The combination of telephone networks,computer networks and CATV networks is the trend of information technology development and application.This paper discusses the advantage and disadvantage of the three networks,and puts forward the most efficient way to fulfill broadband and multimedia integrated networks:that is to transform CATV networks from single-directional broadcasting to bidirectional interactive networks,and father more discusses its feasibility and social significance from technology and government policy.
