摘要
As a general review, this paper summarizes the application of information technology in geoenvironment management and geohazards evaluation in the last decades of the 20th century, emphasizing in particular the use and prospect of GIS, advanced remote sensing technology and geology visualization. In terms of the probable development of geoenvironment management in China at the beginning of the 21st century, the paper describes an essential frame of IT application in this field and designes its technological support system.
