摘要
本文结合全球Internet快速发展与Internet网络结构不适应的现状,提出了改造今天Internet网络结构和发展新一代Internet的构思。改造后的Internet核心网将是以光纤、DWDM和新一代的太比特交换机/路由器为主构成的 ,具有大容量、高可用性和低延时等特点 ,能够满足未来多媒体通信和实时通信的带宽和服务质量的要求。发展新一代Internet的主要任务是开发、试验先进的组网技术 ,研究网络的可靠性、多样性、安全性、业务实时能力、远程操作及远程控制等。作者强调 ,21世纪是属于Internet的 。
In the light of the unconformable status of the rapid Internet growth with the Internet infrastructure, the idea of rebuilding today's Internet infrastructure and developing a new generation of Internet came up. The core network of the rebuilt Internet infrastructure will consist mainly of the optical fiber, DWDM and the new generation of terabit switch or routers with high capacity, high availability, low delay and other features while meeting the bandwidth and QoS requirements of the multimedia communications and real-time communications in the future. The major tasks of developing the new generation Internet are to develop and test advanced networking technologies, study the network reliability, diversity, security and real time service, remote operation and remote control. The 21st century belongs to Internet, and the information society is an Internet-based society.
