摘要
着重讨论 ATM网络的传输时延、交换时延、拆包时延以及总的时延特性。并指出选择较短的信元长度对于缩短时延 ,降低信元丢失率 ,提高 ATM的时间透明性有明显成效。
In this article,the author elaborates on the feature of ATM Network Switching Delay which includes transmission delay,switching delay, depactetization delay and general delay,and demonstrates the means to shorten switching delay decrease information loss rate and increase ATM time transparence by selecting comparatively short information unit.
