Implementing Load Balance in a Cluster Server with IP Dispatcher

研究集群服务器系统中实现网络服务负载均衡的软件方法。讨论由专用路由器实现负载均衡的特点及设计软件实现方法。使用分配器将客户机的请求分配到多个服务器中去 ,达到网络服务的负载均衡。并研究了服务器分配算法、系统性能开销和高可用性实现问题。利用 IP转发技术 ,在不需增加特殊网络设备的条件下 ,用软件方法在集群服务器系统中实现网络服务的负载均衡。

To investigate software methods for the load balance of network services in a cluster server, the paper discusses the feature of implementing load balance by a special router, and analyses the software for its implementation by way of requests of clients to multiple servers through IP dispatchers, so as to implement load balance of network services. Moreover, the algorithms of dispatching servers, the problem of system performance and the problem of high availability are discussed. Without additional special network devices, the load balance of network services in the cluster server is in this way implemented by software methods through IP dispatching.
