This paper compares and analyzes the public transportation system of eight metropolises scattered on three different continents. It introduces the eight citys' basic situation and the route nets, discusses the similarity and differences of their transportation system and makes and relationship on the relationship between the transportation development and the construction of these cities. It prefers to give a reference for the city planning.
