Adjusting Production Structure of Weld Pipes and Strip Used for Pipe Line to Meet Need of West－to－East Natural Gas Transmission Project

针对“西气东输”工程和其他大型输气管道工程的用管需求，探讨了输气管道用螺旋焊管和以 UO成型为代表的直缝埋弧焊管之间的需求关系，输气管道用板带材钢级以及钢管生产设备的改造及其新设备的布点等问题。明确提出，为适应管道输气工程的需要，应调整焊管和管线板带钢的生产结构。

Addressing the demands from the West－ to－ East Natural Gas Transmission Project and other large－ scale gas transport pipe line projects, the discussion here involves such issues as the current demand－ supply situation concerning typical weld tubular products like the weld spiral pipe and submerged arc weld straight pipes made with UO formation process for gas transport pipe line service, strip grades, update of weld steel tube manufacturing equipment and the possible geographic locations of the new production lines. Also emphasized is that adjusting the production structure of weld pipes and strip used for pipe line manufacture is necessary to meet the need of the West－ to－ East Natural Gas Transmission Project.
