摘要
Transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) has been well accepted by clinicians because of its convenient operation, fewer traumer and ability to achieve rapid control of hemorrhage In this article the mechanisms of various embolic materials, indications for embolotherapy, technical conditions and outcome evaluation were discussed Our literature review suggest that TAE has emerged as a highly effective technique to control hemorrhage, treat neoplasms and vascular disease, dispel or disable the affected organs But selecting appropriate cases is still the key of successful
