Detailed discussion is made on the isolation and identification of transglutaminase\|producing microorganism. The diluted plate method is used to screen streptoverticillium(STV) from soil and the colormetric hydroxamate procedure with N carboben zoxy L glutaminyl ghycine is adopted to measure the enzyme activity and ensure the streptoverticillium to produce transglutaminase. The transglutaminase\|producing microorganism is identified as a type of STV according to its culture characteristics and physiological and biochemical properties in different mediums.
