French novean roman theorist Alain Robbe Grillet proposed that the contradiction between language and reality determined that novean roman should adopt“Manqué”.In order to realize this strategy,a literati must exclude the given concept as possible to get him a vacant sense and spiritual freedom.In the meantime,he must adopt a corresponding way to presuppose textual meaning,the Manqué of character and plot. So“Manqué”has enriched novel writing theory in the 20th century with its originally artistic views and free ways of thinking.
