从词汇的理性意义和文化意义谈汉英词汇的内涵差异

A Study on Chinese and English Words' Connotation Differences

由于中国文化与英国文化分属两种截然不同的民族文化,因此,二者之间存在着很大的差异。而词汇作为语言的基本单位,是最明显的承截文化信息,反映人类社会文化生活的工具。因此,本文作者从词汇理性意义和文化意义的差异两大方成对词汇的跨文化做了一些探讨。目的在于能够从点到面,更好地进行外语文化教学。

As Chinese culture and British cluture belong to two disparate cultures,thereis a great gap between them. Words,as the basic unit of a language,are heavily loaded withculture,and are also a tool to reflect the social life of human be- ings.There fore the authorof this thesis does some research from the angle of intercultural differences of words(Conceptual meaning differences and cultural meaning differences),aiming at doing further study of culture lead-in in English language teaching.
