面对高校扩招和西部大开发给高等教育带来的机遇和挑战 ,本文就如何建设面向2 1世纪的高素质师资队伍问题 ,从政治、思想、文化、业务、身体和心理、管理和形象等七个方面论述了素质的高标准。为了增强创新意识 ,更新教学内容和改进培养高素质人才的模式 ,高校教师需不断提高自身素质。

Our universities are facing the challenges of urgently promoting the qualities of teachers during the large increase of enrolments of students and the enormous needs of highly qualified personnel for the great construction and development of Western China How to develop the high qualified teacher echelon facing the 21 century.this paper describes the high standards of qualities in seven aspects, namely: political, ideological, cultural, professional, physical and psychological, managing as well as formal qualities, and encourages the teachers in universities and colleges to renew the educational concept. For the sake of strengthening the bringing forth new ideas, renewing the teaching contents and improving the nurturing model of highly qualified personnel,our university teachers need to uninterruptedly raise their own qualities
