Theory and Methods of Translating Scientific and Technical English into Chinese

科技英语汉译既讲究译文的通顺生动 ,讲究语言的规范和表达的恰如其分 ,又注重翻译的逻辑思维 .因为英语和汉语千差万别 ,因此 ,在忠实于原文的前提下 ,同一语句可以有多种翻译表达方法 ,这就造成了翻译的复杂性和多样性 .但是 ,翻译也具有一些有规可循的东西即翻译理论和方法 ,包括词义、句子成分的转换性、词语的省译法、重复法、倒置法、增补法和综合分析法等 .

To translate scientific and technical English into Chinese, the translation should be smooth and vivid ,the words and expressions should be appropriate and logical. Because of the differences between English and Chinese, one English sentence can be translated into Chinese in so many ways that the methods of translating are comples and diverse. However, there are some laws of translation that can be followed such as transformation of words meaning and part of speech, omission, repetition, conversion and comprehensive analysis.
