On Shen Cong-wen's Satire

沈从文讽刺作品因不同的创作时期而有两种风格 :早期诙谐幽默的和后期庄严含蓄的。从讽刺对象、讽刺手法等方面具体分析了第二类讽刺作品主观性强。

During the different writing period, Shen Cong-wen's satire shows two different artistic styles: his early works are humorous and jocular and the later works are serious and solemn. This paper analyses the characteristics and artistry of his later works, pointing out that they are of subjective color and tragic sense, and probes into the causes of the formation of the style.
