Rb和P53均为抑癌基因,Rb全长大约200kb,定位于人13号染色体的13p14.1,它所编码的105kD磷酸蛋白参与细胞周期的调控,调控细胞增值。而P53全长16-20kb,定位于人17号染色体的17p13.1,它所编码的53KD磷酸蛋白可通过调控CIPI基因表达而调控细胞生长。在很多肿瘤中已发现Rb和P53基因的突变与缺失,揭示了这两种基因与肿瘤发生有密切关系。
Rb and P53 are both tumor suppressor genes. The full length of Rb is about 200kb, which is mapped on 13pl4.1 of chorosome 13. It codifies for a 105kD phosphorylation protein involved in the regulation of cell cycle and cell proliferation. The full length of P53 is 16 - 20Kb, which is mapped on 17p13.1 of chorosome 17. It codifies for a 53kD phosphorylation protein regulating cell growth through the regulation of CIPI gene. Mutation and deletion of Rb and P53 have been reported in many tumors, which indicates the close relationship between these genes and oncogenesis.
