Development course, present situation and trend of formation protection technique at home and abroad are introduced systematically. The focus presents the mechanism of formation damage and the corresponding formation protective measures during the implementation process of well drilling, completion, production operation and stimulation in conventional oil pool, heavy oil pool, low?permeability oil pool and horizontal well etc.
