TEA CO_2激光输出的平顶型模式研究

Investigation on the Flat top Mode of a TEA CO_2 Laser

对TEACO2 激光器较为均匀的“平顶型”输出模式的成因进行了探讨 ,在其他条件相同的情况下 ,分别测量了不同饱和程度下激光器输出光的能量密度分布 ,通过实验证实 ,在TEACO2 激光器中 ,由于其增益较高 ,存在着较为强烈的饱和效应 。

The output mode of a TEA CO2 laser is a flat-top type rather than Gauss distribution predicted by the conventional theory. In this paper, the formation mechanism is investigated. The energy distributions of the output beams in different degree of saturation are measured while the other conditions remain unchanged. It has been demonstrated experimentally that the intense saturation due to the high gain in the TEA CO2 laser is responsible for the output mode's widening and uniformizing.
