一种分布式视频点播系统管理模型及实现

Distributed video-on-demand management model

作为典型的分布式多媒体应用 (DMA) ,分布式视频点播系统 (DVOD)的实用迫切需要一个能够支持开放环境的分布式管理框架。采用面向对象的建模语言—— U ML分析了 DVOD系统 ,建立了一个以分布式组件和目录服务为核心的模型 CD- Vod MS,该模型不但支持异构平台 ,而且具备良好的可扩展性和重用性。在此基础上 ,采用 CORBA规范和 L DAP服务器实现了一个 CD- Vod MS原型系统。另外还针对流式媒体 ,讨论了约会、 QOS。

As a typical distributed multimedia application, distributed video on demand systems (DVOD) need a distributed management architecture supported by an open environment. The DVOD system was analyzed using the standard UML modeling language to develop a DVOD Model based on component and directory service —CD VodMS. This model can be implemented over heterogeneous networks with the capacity for component re use. A CD VodMS implementation based on CORBA and LDAP is described in this paper. Several aspects of the technology in continuous media are analyzed such as session, QOS, resource management, etc.
