On Translation Between English and Chinese When There is Language Gap

英汉互译时 ,由于不同的文化背景和风俗习惯的制约 ,会出现语言空白现象。文中就名词短语、成语。

When translation between English and Chinese is being done, t here will appear language gap because of differentcultural background and customs. In this article, some p roblems will be analysed and examined on how to do the translation when language gap arises from the translating of some noun phrases, idioms, customary expressions and some appellations to rel atives.
