摘要
电火花加工技术可以解决复杂模具的加工问题 ,但采用传统工艺获得复杂型面的石墨电极有一定的困难。为了解决复杂型面石墨电极的加工问题 ,一种基于快速成形技术的非传统的成形研磨方法已被研究开发 ,并在此基础上成功研制了石墨电极研磨成形机。通过实例研磨加工表明 ,该设备能满足模具快速制造的要求 ,在模具工业中具有广阔的应用前景。
EDM (Electric Discharge Machining) technology can be used to machine complex molds. However, it is somewhat difficult to obtain a complex graphite electrode with traditional process. An unconventional form lapping based on rapid prototyping technology has been studied to solve this problem and a graphite electrode abrading machine is successfully developed. Case study shows that graphite electrode abrading machine can meet the needs for rapid tooling and will find wide applications in die & mold industry.
