Aggregate Demand Analysis on Economic Growth in Hong Kong

本文分析了政府消费开支的增长在短期内对香港经济的增长作用不明显 ,但从长期来看 ,政府消费开支的上升将产生不利于香港经济增长的结果 ,而美国利率水平的变动则是影响香港长期经济增长最重要的外生变量。

This paper analyzes that the increase of government consumption expenditure has no apparent effects on the growth of Hong Kong economy in a short term, yet in a long run, the rise of government consumption expenditure will produce a unfavorable result to the economic growth in Hong Kong. The most important exogenous variable which influences long term economic growth in Hong Kong is the change of American exchange rate.
