战后近半个世纪以来 ,美国与中国台湾的投资关系 ,表现为从美国对台湾单向的间接投资开始 ,发展至双向的直接投资 ,且投资规模不断扩大。美台投资关系的形成和发展过程 ,体现了台湾经济对美国经济的依附和从属关系。这种依附关系并不因台湾经济的发展而弱化 。

In the past 50 years since World War II, US -Taiwan Residents relations of inv estments have evolved from unilateral, indirect investment from US to Taiwan, to bilateral, direct investment, which is growing constantly. From the formation a nd development of US-Taiwan Residents relations of investments, it is easy to see to wh at extent Taiwan Residents economy depends on American economy. What is more, this depe ndence increases instead of decreasing with the development of Taiwan Residents economy .
