In later period of the Ming dynasty, the popular novels' inscription shows varied traits. It includes:attaching importance to describe sentiment, exaggerating current affairs and reflecting the townpeople's life.The style tends to be vulgar and mean.These traits appear due to the following reasons: the influence of the social economy, the effect of the Ming's printing development and the influence of the novel theory ,esp,the cultural demand of the townpeople related to the appreciation of them at that time.
