浙江甘蔗花叶病病原初步鉴定

PRELIMINARY CHARACTERIZATION OF THE VIRUS ASSOCIATED WITH SUGARCANE MOSAIC DISEASE OCCURRED IN ZHEJIANG PROVINCE

本文报道了一种在浙江省北部地区发生的甘蔗病毒病害。病毒粒子呈线状 ,长度为 74 0 nm,在甘蔗病组织中形成风轮状内含体 ,病毒外壳蛋白分子量约 36 k Da,表明其病原为马铃薯 Y病毒科成员 ,血清学研究表明该病毒与高粱花叶病毒 (Sr MV)反应强烈 ,与甘蔗花叶病毒 (Sc MV)及玉米矮花叶病毒 (MDMV)反应次之 ,与约翰逊草花叶病毒 (JGMV)的反应较弱 ,认为该病毒可能是甘蔗花叶病毒亚群的一个成员。

A mild mosaic virus disease of sugarcane occurred in Zhejiang Province was noticed in September 1999 for the first time. Pinwheels were observed in the infected tissue of sugarcane. The filamentous virus particles isolated from the infected sugarcane leaves were mostly 740 nm in length and its coat protein was 36 kDa. This virus reacted strongly to the antiserum of sorghum mosaic virus(SrMV),moderately to that of the maize dwarf mosaic virus (MDMV) and sugarcane mosaic virus (ScMV), and weakly to that of the Johnsongrass mosaic virus(JGMV). Based on the disease symptoms, cytopathology study and the natural host range of this virus, it was characterized to be a possible member of ScMV subgroup of Potyviridae.
