Based on the stochastic mechanistic model of non uniform sediment exchange near the river bed and the probabilistic distribution of fractional transport rate, a new bedload formula for any fraction of non uniform sediment is theoretically developed The parameters are determined from the relations proposed by the authors. Two constants are derived from experimental data of the bedload transport rate for uniform sediment. The fractional bedload formula of non uniform sediment is characterized by clear physical concept, a strict mathematical derivation and a self adaptability to uniform sediment. The verification of theoretical formula with experimental data on the transport of non uniform sediment under full motion shows that observation agrees well with predicted fractional bedload transport rate.
