目的 研究金属硫蛋白 (metallothionein ,MT)在颌骨骨肉瘤中的表达特点及不同组织学分型的骨肉瘤组织之间 ,MT的表达有无差别。方法 采用免疫组织化学方法研究 4 0例颌骨骨肉瘤中MT的表达。结果 60 %的病例中有肿瘤细胞呈MT阳性表达 ,表现为胞浆及胞核中的棕黄色颗粒 ;阳性细胞集中于形成骨基质较活跃的区域 ;三组不同组织学分型的骨肉瘤标本中 ,MT表达的综合评分存在统计学差别 ,成骨细胞型骨肉瘤MT表达强于成纤维细胞型。结论 MT可能在颌骨骨肉瘤的发生及发展过程中起一定作用 ,不同组织学类型中MT的表达不同 ,提示骨肉瘤的类型多样 ,在生物学行为上可能存在差别。

Objective To investigate the expression of metallothionein in osteosarcoma of the jaw,and whether the expression levels are different among the three histological subtypes of this tumor.Methods 40 cases of osteosarcoma of the jaw were stained for metallothionein using immunohistochemical technique.Results 60% of the studied cases showed positive staining in both cytoplasm and nuclei of tumor cells.Positive cells tended to aggregate in the active osteoid-producing areas.There was a significant difference among the three histological subtypes,with osteoblastic osteosarcoma showing a highest level of metallothionei expression.Conclusion MT may play a role in the development and progression of osteosarcoma of the jaw.The different MT expression levels among the three subtypes of this tumor may implicate its phenotypic diversity.
