In this paper,the technology of direct reduction ironmaking has been simply stated.Classification and requirement of binder,effect of binder type on agglomeration,behaviour and function of binder in every stage of direct reduction ironmaking have been expounded in detail.Direction of study and development for binder has been advanced.
