Effect of central corneal thickness on measurement of intraocular pressure

摘要 探讨角膜厚度 (CCT)对眼压 (IOP)测量的影响及其临床意义。方法 :用超声角膜测厚仪及非接触式眼压计检测 2 88例眼科患者 5 0 0眼之 CCT及 IOP进行统计学分析。结果 :IOP随 CCT增加而增高并成正相关 (CCT每增加 2 7μm,IOP将随之增加 lmm Hg)而与屈光度无关 ,CCT与患者年龄成负相关。结论CCT为影响 IOP检测的一个重要因素 ,检查 CCT有助于更正确的估计 IOP。 Objective: To evaluate the effects and its clinical significance of central corneal thickness (CCT) on the measurement of intraocular pressure (IOP). Methods: The CCT were measured with ultrasonic and IOP with noncontact tonometer in 500 eyes of 288 patients, the data were analyzed statistically Results: There was a significant positive correlation between CCT and IOP. An increase in CCT of 27 microns was associated with an increase in IOP measurement of 1 mmHg. A significant negative correlation was identified between CCT and age, but there was no correlation between IOP and diopters. Conclusions: CCT is an important factor for the reading of IOP. Examining CCT is helpful in evaluating IOP appropriately and distinguishing some eye diseases.
