In the transformation of the open hearth furnaces into the converters in WISCO the constructional area of foundation for the converters as well as the large sized industrial equipments comes up to 1?935?m 2, the thickness 3.3?m and the total amount of concrete 7?508?m 3. The present paper introduces the design of the organizational structure and construction plan, the problems expected to be encountered in the constructional work and technical measures to be taken to check those problems.
