The Query Processing Technology of Relational Database Machines

本文较系统地综述了关系数据库机的查询处理技术,认为传统数据库查询优化思想大都可为数据库机的查询处理所借鉴.本文首先概述了传统数据库查询的四级优化处理技术,然后总结了数据库机系统的查询处理特点和在数据库机领域中已做的查询优化工作.

This paper systematizes the query-processing technologies of relational database machine. It is believed that the query-processing technolgies of database machines are based on that of tradional databases. At first, the four-level query optimizations of traditional databases is summarized. In the following, the query-processing specialities and the query optimizations that has heen done in the field of database machines is summed up systimatically.
