摘要
本文应用空心介质波导中模式间的耦合,并假定其中折射率分布是随机起伏的,从而推导出瑞利散射损耗,其结果与传统的以分子散射理论为基础所描述的瑞利散射损耗相一致。对从理论上并清光纤内的损耗机理具有一定的意义。
In this paper the Rayleigh scattering loss is derived according to the coupled mode theory of the ideal modes in the dielectric on the assumption that the refractive index distribution in the dielectric is random fluctuation. The result is in comformity with that derived on the basis of molecular scattering theory.This derivation is of certain significance to the understand- ing of the scattering loss mechanism in optical fiber.
