TYPICAL EXAMPLES OF APPLICATION OF GROUND GAMMA SPECTROMETRY IN GOLD PROSPECTING

本文通过实例论证了采用伽玛能谱法,在找金评价中只要满足有序性、分异性和准确性三个基本条件,就可得出与外检分析结果相近的评价参数。

Three conditions,ordering,differentiation and accuracy,should be met when the ground gamma spectrometry is used to measure natural radioactive elements and their change regularity in the field. The method includes mathematic treatment of data before measuring and direct measurement of geolog- ical hidden gold bodies according to the special requirements and primary and dispersion haloes.The author has quantitatively evaluated primary gold bodies in the Dongping gold mine district in Hebei province,where the method has successfully found handreds of gold mineralized anomalies,classified eight mineralized regions,set up the spectrum marks of main rock types,estimated the aurifferous quartz and directed the arrangement of drilling engineerings.The ground gamma spectrumetry was also used in the Xingganhe palcer gold district in Qinglong.It shows that there exists definitely the gold body with low average grade. The method is characterized by rapid analysis, low cost and wide repre- sentation and may meet the requirement of placer gold evaluation and guide the arrangement drill holes in the exploration profiles with great variation grades.
